No Drama. | Switzerland Tourism
Switzerland Tourism's new ambassador Roger Federer features in the organisation's latest film. He's joined by legendary actor and Oscar winner Robert De Niro. In the short film, De Niro turns down an invitation by Federer to be part of a movie about Switzerland. He thinks, the destination is pure, impressive and utterly beautiful - but there is no drama in Switzerland, something De Niro focuses his acting upon. The film can be seen online worldwide.

Inside The Billionaire Lifestyle Of Gstaad
Gstaad, you may or may not have heard of it, but this upscale resort town in the Bernese Oberland region of the Swiss Alps hosts some of the world’s most rich and famous people during the holiday season. If you hadn’t heard of it before then you should definitely watch this video.

Switzerland is a small country full of surprises and wonderful villages. Since decades, Switzerland has been attracting numerous tourists from allover the world. It is the Alps that fascinates most of the visitors but also the very well preserved villages. Although Switzerland is quite small, depending on the region, the villages and towns may look very different. In this video, the 10 most beautiful villages from allover the country will be presented in detail. While there may be a few that you might have heard of, there will be quite some surprises. Gruyères is THE place to experience the medieval vibes in Switzerland. The castle, the museums and furthermore the foodie world of Gruyères are really exciting to experience, do not forget to try fondue, Gruyère cheese and double cream! Zermatt is the most popular village on this list. Visit the many panoramas over the Swiss Alps, see the Matterhorn or simply explore the village of Zermatt itself! Discover the many beautiful traditional wooden houses scattered around this Swiss village! Visit what used to be the smallest municipality of Switzerland: Corippo. Corippo is located in the Valle Verzasca in Ticino. It's a wonderful village full of stone houses and very interesting: ONLY 12 people live in there! Surely, it's not crowded there. Saint-Ursanne is another medieval village; the town that could be in a fairytale. Saint-Ursanne is built along the river doubs and charms with its many medieval houses and wonderful abbey. Guarda - the town of Schellenursli - in the lower Engadin is located in the "Rumantsch" speaking region of Switzerland. It's far away the urban centres and very quiet. Best to visit during Summer or on Chalandamarz! Grimentz is THE stereotypical village of Switzerland. It's located up in the Swiss Alps and charms with its many traditional wooden houses. The houses are all decorated with red flowers; cheesy and alluring! Lauterbrunnen is another touristy favorite. The village is small but it's located in the Valley of 72 Waterfalls! Enjoy the scenery with its many waterfalls and greens! Do not forget to go up to Wengen and the Jungfraujoch! Epesses is located in Switzerland's wine region at lake Geneva! It's a wonderful village in the middle of the vineyards and definitely offers you enough viewpoints over the wine terraces, lake Geneva and the Swiss Alps. Stein am Rhein is also a very medieval and cultural village. The old town is perfectly preserved and charms with its many painted houses. Spectacular is the "No e Wili" play that is held on a 10-25 years base. Enjoy swimming in the river Rhine or dining at the Castle Hohenklingen. MORCOTE is the most beautiful Swiss village on this Top 10 list! It's located at Lake Lugano and charms with its appearance of being built at the hill. Stunning is the church Maria del Sasso, the wonder garden in the Parco Scherrer and furthermore the many viewpoints on the hill. Morcote is by the way considered not very touristy. Thus perfect to rank 1st among the Top 10 Villages of Switzerland! WATCH the ENTIRE VIDEO in 4K!

From late November till December, Switzerland hosts plenty of fantastic Christmas markets. The tradition of Christmas roots very deeply in the Swiss culture. However, among all these many markets around in Zürich, Basel, Einsiedeln, Stein am Rhein, Lucerne, Montreux, Bern, etc.: Which ones are the most beautiful Christmas markets of Switzerland? Watch the video and get to meet the Top 5 Christmas Markets of Switzerland!
Einsiedeln - the most Christian Christmas market of Switzerland. The town of Einsiedeln is well-known for its large monastery and hosting the most beautiful church of Switzerland. The Christmas market is held only for a short time in the very beginning of December. The market concentrates around the square in front of the monastery, which provides a very authentic atmosphere. The Christmas market stretches into the old town and hosts various stalls with handmade souvenirs and foods.
Zürich - the most hip Christmas market of Switzerland. Zürich is very modern and this well reflects in its many Christmas markets. The markets are scattered throughout the city. Very important are the ones at the Bellevue and Zürich main station (Zürich HB). The market at the Bellevue is predominantly a foodie market, the one at the main station is rather traditional with many handicrafts. The Werdmühleplatz hosts the singing Christmas tree, a unique attraction! The Illuminarium is at the national museum and charms with its many lights and the light show.
Stein am Rhein - The fairytale town. The Märlistadt is not exactly a Christmas market but tries to balance between Christmas and fairytales. The opening is on December 1st and starts with a march of Trychler, a beautiful Swiss tradition. Enjoy the many performances and themes at the market and experience of the best winter fairytale / winter wonderland markets you could find in Switzerland.
Monreux - The most cheesy Christmas market. Montreux's Christmas market is by the lake promenade. Something very different and this makes the market stand out among the others! But the best of the best is the flying Santa Claus. This is what the market is the most known for! Enjoy the many stalls with finest Swiss handicraft. A perfect place to buy authentic souvenirs made with much love!
Basel - The most traditional Christmas Market. Basel's Christmas market is very traditional. The biggest attraction are though not the products the stalls are selling but rather the way the stalls have decorated themselves. Basel has very strict regulations and requires high efforts to produce an authentic christmassy atmosphere for everyone who was given the opportunity to have stall. Enjoy delicious glühwine (mulled wine), buying various handmade souvenirs and try seasonal delicassies. Among all markets, the one at Basel is the most beautiful one!

Gstaad's rich citizens are fighting a battle against newly minted billionaires determined to convert the lovely mountain town into their own flashy playground. Despite putting up a brave front, the locals are trembling in their fur-lined ski boots.
Gstaad loves to brag about its snow-globe-preserved Alpine beauties. Change comes at a sluggish pace here. This has been both a blessing and a curse for this Galt's Gulch of millionaires, where every chalet looks the same from the road and they can just talk about Russians the way people used to talk about Jews in Darien, Conn. If residents strayed too far off-piste with important decisions, Gstaad would risk falling into the same cliff as, well, St. Moritz, the girl next door who couldn't say no and is now dealing with noisy nightclubs and condominiums.
